As president, it is my job to represent VIS in official matters such as talking to the department, the rectorate or VSETH. As a previous Kommu, I'm probably still gonna post one or the other Instagram story, sorry Nadine! I'm also trying to manage the insane amount of mail-spam, that comes with being president.

I’m the money person of VIS. Most of the time you can find me in oVIS sending money to all the people that bother me the most. Also, whenever you want to use Kasse or the VIS credit card, just don’t. Please.

Systemadministrator
sophia.herrmann ät vis.ethz.ch
Like a good computer scientist, I have assumed the role of IT support for VIS. This means managing permissions, fixing problems that CAT doesn’t want to, and generally ensuring our clusters continue to go brr. If something doesn’t work, just know it’s probably because I didn’t consume enough caffeine yet to fix it.

I’m the person repsonsible making sure stuff runs smoothly behind the scenes. Whether it’s fixing the coffee machines, ordering milk or making sure people don’t turn oVIS into their personal storage, I’m around to keep an eye on things.

I collect past exams from our professors and make them accessible on our community platform. Additionally, I organise our exam preparation sessions and manage our mentoring program. It is our goal to support the students to prepare for their exams. If you notice any past exams missing from our collection, or if you have suggestions for enhancements in any area aligned with LUK's objectives, including PVW and beyond, please don't hesitate to send me an email ( ˶ˆ꒳ˆ˵ )ノ.

Whether it’s an issue during exams, the increase in tuition fees, or a concern about a course, I am here to represent the interests of computer science students and ensure their perspectives are heard in decision-making processes. Some say I do this to score more coffee perks - though I completely deny that!

I am in charge of the software development at VIS. This means I make sure VIS platforms get updated regularly with features you didn’t know you needed. If you ever encounter any bugs, then rest assured that they are 100% intentional and definitely not due to lack of sleep.
